Potassium bicarbonate (khco3) also has a pretty long history in aquaponics as a commonly used, and safe way to raise your ph and buffer your system water. it’s also fast acting and does the job it’s intended to do right away (unlike some very slow dissolving things like eggshells, shell grit etc)….
